I started doing Bar Method about three years ago and fell in love with the class immediately. Although I have always had more of an athletic build, I never felt I was in great overall shape until I took Bar Method.
When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to continue class in hopes that it would keep me fit and healthy throughout the pregnancy, as well as help with the delivery. I was able to continue class about two to three times per week in my second and third trimesters.
Aside from first trimester nausea and fatigue, I felt awesome throughout my pregnancy and I have to attribute much of it to Bar Method.
When it came time to push, my midwife got me into position and told me to “curl around my baby.” All of a sudden I realized I was essentially doing low curl. I pushed through four contractions and twenty minutes later, my little baby boy was in my arms!
